Sorry it didn't work! I'd guess the lactic acid in the yogurt breaks down the oatmeal and "cooks" it, so without an acid, the oats just soaked and didn't change consistency.

I was thinking that too. I bought yogurt today, so I tried mixing it with the stuff I have leftover for tomorrow's breakfast. Hopefully that will do the trick!

Hmm, I don't know about the seeds. I've eaten them a couple times (in Quest bars), and they were fine. I'll give them a try!

Speaking of Quest bars, the company was having a sale, so I ordered a couple boxes directly from them. Apparently I've been eating stale bars all this time and never knew it. Fresh from the company, they were so soft! Like cookie dough-soft! I don't mind them stale either though -- being harder and more chewy means I eat them slower.
