I looooooove pickles (kosher dills, anyway) but while I don't mind fried pickles (I've had them twice), I'm not really thrilled with 'em.
Besides, the dill pickle in its natural form is basically cucumber and vinegar and spices and is a zero-point snack! (The spouse and I use the WW system.) Heavy on the sodium, of course, but eh. We don't buy 'em all the time, mainly because I'll go through a jar sooooo fast.

Agreed. Pickles are great because they're filling and so low calorie, so once you batter them and fry them... it doesn't add nearly enough to make up for the added calories.
I haven't logged into XIV in over a month. My LS has started asking where I am...life has been crazy and I wasn't getting home til midnight for a while there. I had no desire to play anything that required attention. I was a vegetable most evenings. I was getting tired of XIV's gear grind besides -- we were months into weekly sessions attempting Final Coil that felt futile because some people couldn't meet DPS targets. Extra frustrating when 2 of them didn't show up one night and the random replacements we used hit their DPS targets and we cleared with ease. The LS is mostly RL friends so asking someone to stop sucking is bad form, but then grinding something we clearly can't beat without more DPS feels truly pointless. So, the point of this rant: Is Heavensward any good?

Heavensward is amazing. I haven't met anyone who says it's much lower than that. The story is -- can I use the word 'amazing' again? I was sitting there with my jaw dropped through much of what I watched tonight.
I hate dungeons, and the first five haven't been bad at all (I actually kind of enjoyed two!)
You'll be happy (or not) to know that you can get i100 (110?) stuff from a vendor in he first town, up to i135 from a vendor in a later town (and I'm only 55, so I assume there will be even higher from vendors later). It makes me kind of want to cry, because I put so much time getting i130 pre-patch, but such is the way of MMOs.
I'm ashamed to admit, I haven't left my apartment since Thursday. I've done next to nothing other than sleep and play (and basic things like showering and eating).
There's so much to do, and endgame stuff isn't even being released for another two weeks!
I think it's very much worth it, but I also think you need new LS. :/
