This has been a pretty darned sucky day. Bandaged my toe so I could go to work this morning, it bleed through the bandage (ugh). Got home to take care of it, and the gauze was stuck in the nailbed? Whatever you call the flesh that your nail used to cover. Soaked it 10 minutes, couldn't get it off. Soaked another 10 minutes, still stuck. Soaked 30

I imagine the gauze will just fall off in time if you leave it alone - much like a scab does.

Taxes! Meh. I am so glad I don't have to file my own tax return anymore. But doesn't it feel good to get it done..?

As an active trader with managed assets north of $3M... WTF?! Are California state taxes that bad? Short term capital gains to the federales is 15% (unless you have a stupid amount of money), dividends are 15% + state tax (TN is 6%)...That motherfucker must be doing something wrong, or California is the worst state to live in.

As a friend of my sister is fond of reminding people, investment firms make mistakes all the time, especially tax-related ones.

There are obvious financial advantages to puzzle out what went wrong. But then again, whether that's worth doing another amended tax return I cannot say. (I have never done an amended tax return before, so I have no idea how stressful it is...)
