In other news, I use reddit a lot. Mostly the FFXIV subreddit, but a few other small subreddits as well. It's a free site, but you can help support it by buying "gold" (paid account time) to give out to posts you like. I never really felt ( Read more... )

I'm addicted to r/relationships and r/askwomen. I'm glad you got fantastic customer service from them. What are some of the subreddits you frequent?

Oh, /askwomen sounds like it'd be interesting! In addition to /ffxiv, my main ones are:

/askreddit (always interesting!)
/explainlikeimfive (learning new stuff!)
/mildlyinteresting (fluff, but kills time)

Internet communities are usually extremely good at doing the things big companies should be good at (but aren't). Like customer service, getting things done, and fixing stuff. :] I think it has all to do with the fact that the people involved are not necessarily getting paid to offer the services. They do it because it's their hobby/passion, and they genuinely want to help out.
