Aside from the questionable biology, there is a tradition of using a specific last name. For example, the kids of mothers not married to royal parents had the last name "Fitzroy", for "fils du roi", or "son of the king".

Nicotine-sweet lips?!? Kids are gonna be licking ashtrays before you know it! The only good taste of a smoker's lips is one who is smoking cloves, and even then, it's only if you like the taste of black licorice... and nicotine.
