1) After being in the high 80s/low 90s for a couple days, today is beautiful! Supposedly it got up to 81 at some point, but I had my windows open all day and it never got too hot. It's cool and wonderful now, and I don't even mind the young kids being loud right outside my window ( Read more... )

*waves flag* Hi there! I'm a fan! Let him/her/them know, ok?

(actually hunting them down seems to cross some kind of line for me,
so I won't, but I'm enjoying all the changes and look forward to the new stuff, and even when I find stuff I don't like, there's still plenty of stuff that I do! also, it isn't offline nearly as often as I feared it might, and the customer service (what I have used of it) is lovely! Ok, I'm done, now.)

I'm glad you're still enjoying the game! I quit a couple weeks back, but I do miss the people there.

Luckily there's still LJ and such to connect with people still playing. :)

Very uncommon! And thankfully over, as of today. The cool weather is so much nicer.

I do! I feel very lucky for knowing all of you. :)

Your willpower will improve.. it is like a muscle... use it and it gets stronger. If you simply cannot resist baked goods, go without them completely for 30 days and you will be able to renegotiate your relationship to them easily. :)

Knowing the limits of your willpower is a useful tool. I would probably have been able to stop after four... which is still too many.

The worst part of practicing portion control is when you've made just slightly too much food, have reached the point where you think you've had enough, and then what's left on the plate is so small there's no point in storing it as leftovers. Throwing away perfectly good food still feels so incredibly wrong. I eat it every time.

Yes, to both! I could probably stop at four, but like you said, that's already too much.

I do the same exact thing when there's just a "little" bit left. I almost always end up eating it.
