So my soda making machine is gone. Amazon sent three packages to me that day, and only two were on my doorstep. Plus there was the whole "it was delivered 24 hours in the future" delivery notice thing

My neighbors had their package stolen. It contained vac bags for their elderly vacuum cleaner! Not much of a treat. I know this because they put up a note-- saying, essentially, 'you idiots you stole something that is not fun, and which you probably cannot even use, it serves you right, now give my stuff back.'

The bags, still in their ripped open box, were placed back in the hall the next day.

Haha! I wish they had taken either of the other two boxes instead -- they would have gotten boring, useless-to-them things. But they took the biggest one and got the best thing of the lot.

I am amazed that your other stuff wasn't stolen as well. Perhaps it's just where I gew up (South Africa) but I automatically assume that anything easy to carry left outside will be stolen.

I either have stuff delivered to my office where it is signed for by the receptionist, or if its too big to carry home on the train, I get it delivered to my home and I watch the tracking so that I can work from home on the day that it arrives.

I am too. I'm wondering if it was maybe a kid snatched it instead. (We don't have many kids in this complex, but there are a few. I'm too far into the complex for it to have been a non-neighbor person)

I've had this happen to me. It is not a good thing.
I did chase after the delivery company and the got me a replacement.
So, you might have luck doing the same.

Amazon was good, they're sending out a replacement. (Plus the first one finally arrived... DAYS after they said they delivered it.)

That's terrible, glad to see in comments that it will be replaced though.
