Game of Thrones & RP dreams

The last ep of the season *whine*. It's going to be a long nine months or so until we get a new ep.

A pairing with one underaged person is rarely my cup of tea, but I love this picture so much. Spoiler for the last couple eps. Looks like he cares about her and she needs him and it makes me go all awwww.

Spoilers for this week's ep behind the cut. )

Agreed, on all of that. I was so sick of hearing "You know nothing, Jon Snow."

The Spider had the old man in the box (the wizard who cut off his... how did they phrase it... root and stem), he's off my list of good folks.

I suspect we'll be seeing more of Bran in the coming season!

I was so sick of hearing "You know nothing, Jon Snow."

It's such a big influencer on Jon's character going forward, I was unsurprise to hear it so often.

My only problem with Jon and Ygritte is that Jon is the one character they're not doing better than the books, IMO. I like book!Jon. This Jon makes me want to stab him repeatedly. If you can't make Jon sympathetic, the whole relationship with Ygritte isn't going to work. :P

And, yeah, Varys did that, but Varys is such an awesome character. He's not 'good', but he's good.

Agreed on Varys. He does bad things, but at least he cares about the world.

I'm not sure why TV Jon annoys me so much. His ever-stubble? His not wearing a hat north of the wall? (Seriously, none of them wear hats! So far north!) That he's so "pretty"? How the actor plays him? Probably all of those things. In the book I didn't like him because he seemed Mary Sue-ish, but at least I'm not getting that feeling in the show. Still don't like him anymore though.

At least all the Starks I disliked are now dead, and the ones I liked are alive. (Except Ned, I liked him.) Bastard Jon doesn't mess up that record!

LOL @tersa Jon foreshadowing.

I was disappointed because the finale, the episode after the Red Wedding, was the perfect time for Joffrey's wedding. I guess we did get the death of one character - Daenerys. The Mother of the formerly-enslaved gig is what makes her boring - say goodbye to her, for the most part, as from here on out her dragons are more interesting characters than her.

This also marks something important - so far, they were basically mapping season to book. By delaying the important closing events of Storm of Swords to the next season, they aren't tethered by time anymore. Hell, Joffrey's Wedding may be the big red-wedding-style moment of the entire next season.

Me? I'm just ready for Arya to board the damn boat.

I've never liked Daenerys (I feel about the same of her as I do of Jon Snow). I'm interested to see what happens with her dragons -- how big will they get? (Are their skulls already larger than apples? I'd think so.) The shots of them in the final scenes were the most interesting -- they were so colorful!

Yessss to Arya. She's one of the characters I'm really interested in. In the book, she was one of the few I was interested in. In the show, I like so many more of them.
