The building next to the one whose rooftop he stood on belonged to a company that sold medical supplies. The interior was a purgatory of graying, nebbishy white collar workers in their maze of cubicles and carpeted hallways, typing out memos and eating body destroying pastries.

They had a janitor. A one armed man, too poor to afford surgery, hired out of pity by a soft hearted HR man. He was innocuous and polite, a ghost under halogen lights. He wore the company official baggy jumpsuit, just with one sleeve empty and tied off. When he went up to the roof, noone batted an eyelash.

He left his little cart full of cleaning supplies at the base of the stairs and agilely lept the small gap between buildings, not even big enough to be called an alley. He waited for Sho to notice him.
