Characters Dist, Rikku, cockbot Rating Um. PG? Summary Someone is sneaky, and someone else is not amused. Location Dist's garage Date/Time September 20th, midafternoon. Status Ongoing
Dist looked over his shoulder with a raised eyebrow. "What do you mean, does it work? Of course it works; I built it. I haven't had a reason to use it yet, but it could level a city block if I ever felt the need to." He inspected the hole in his sleeve with a sigh as he pulled his shirt back on. Well, at least it was only a work shirt; it would be no trouble to replace.
Upon finishing her clean-up and dumping the last of the spilled instruments back onto their tray, Rikku wandered over to the mecha and stared up at it to get a closer look. It was an amazing piece of machinery, there was no denying that.
However, Dist's intended use seemed to be a bit much. "Why would you want to level a city block? You're not some kind of crazy terrorist guy or something, are you?"
Dist snorted a bit. "Does it matter? I really don't have a reason right now, but who's to say a reason won't present itself? Sometimes you need a tank; just because I own items that can kill people doesn't mean that I intend to go out killing people." Well, not right now. Some people just needed a good murdering.
"Oooooh." That made sense. Kind of. "Does it have any other uses? I mean, besides flattening people." Part of her wanted to climb up into the cockpit and start pushing buttons, but she had a feeling that Dist would scramble up after her and throw her out of it. Literally.
"Can you show me? Pleeeeeeeeeeeease?" Rikku put on her best smile and everything. This Dist guy seemed pretty easy to manipulate, luckily for her.
"It can shoot people! Or slice them, or grab them. And it has a fire extinguisher and a hose that can be attached to a hydrant, in case I need to put out any of the fires it sets. ...It also has a flamethrower." As he was saying this he was pointing to several vents and studs along the body of the mech, which presumably served the various functions he was describing.
At her request to see it powered up, Dist couldn't help but grin. He almost never got to show it to anyone. "Oh, I suppose if you insist." He pulled out a small remote from somewhere in his chair, hitting a few buttons. The mech hissed, and then the large circular body split in two.
