Sara, Heidi, and Angelica had worked so hard, setting up the common room, and inviting all the people Matty was friends with. They quickly added the finishing touches, before Matty walked in.

"Heidi? Where's the streamers?" Sara asked frantically, running around.

"Right here!" Heidi came running from out of nowhere with streamers in her hand, and with Angelica's help they charmed them to hang from the ceiling.

"Good, good, more over there, do you think?" she pointed, readjusting a banner.

"'Kay," Angelica said, pointing her wand and levitating the streamers to where Sara pointed out.

She took a deep breath and looked around.

They didn't have much time to reply anyway... the portrait was opening, and it sounded like Matty was back.

"Happy Birthday, Matty!" Alex exclaimed as he ran as fast as he could down the dormitory stairs. He had a box in his hands, ready to give it to Matty as soon as he got close enough.

"Yeah!" said Alex as he watched Matty unwrap the present. The box was charmed to turn into anything the beholder wanted most at the time.

Matty opened it up quickly, glancing inside to see a beautiful new pair of Quidditch gloves. They looked like they were just his size, too!

"Alex! How'd you know my gloves were all worn?" he exclaimed, giving the other boy a hug again.
