I'm not dead...

...although, I am in self-isolation because I've tested positive for covid. That means I'm stuck in the house until the end of the week. And it could be longer if I continue positive. My symptoms are mild, courtesy of three jabs. Mainly a slight temperature and a cough. Thank science for the vaccine that means I get away with only that ( Read more... )

I’m so pleased to see you here - you must be psychic as I have ‘contact Maz’ on my list of things to do this afternoon! It’s not like you to disappear for so long.

I’m sorry you have Covid but at least it’s mild. Any idea where you picked it up?

I have no idea where I picked it up. I think I'd got a bit complacent, having managed to go 2 years without contracting it, so although I was still taking precautions, I have been out and about a lot more lately.
As you say, at least it's mild. Uncomfortable, but mild.

How are you and the family doing?

Like Kazzy I am so glad to see you, as 'contact Maz' was also on my to-do list this week :)

Sorry to hear you've got the lurgy, but thank goodness it really is no longer frightening in the way that it was before the vaccines. Still, I hope you are out and about again soon. Especially to go to the garden centre,

I was nodding to your thoughts on both logging in to LJ having been part of your morning routine for so long and no longer being - and the redefining of moderately busy. I no longer automatically open LJ each morning either - I think it is that it was part of the 'getting ready to go to work' routine - and now there is no 'getting ready to go to work' routine.

My moderately busy has included S2C and I having Charlotte with us for a few days over the Easter school holidays and doing things like making cakes and going seal spotting. It has also included a fair amount of knitting whilst watching TV and meeting the new great niece the knitting has mainly been for. ( Here we are doing just that.)

Yes, I am so thankful I left it until I'd had three jabs before I contracted it. It is not nearly so scary now.

And I think that's a very good point - LJ was part of getting up and waking up for work.

Hello there! I've been to Costa Rica again, and posted lots of photos - mostly birds.

I hope you are feeling a bit better, love and I'll look forward to chatting at the end of the week. Reading your post also makes me realise how long it is since I posted anything on LJ! I must rectify that! :)

I'm so glad you're not dead and survived the covid. I hope you have gotten 4 vaccines like I have. Stay well.

I'm not yet old enough to have had a 4th jab, but I've had 3 and reckon that's why my symptoms are so mild. I'm quite glad I'm not dead, too *g*
Thanks, I'll do my best. You too.
