One of the biggest problems with attempting to write here is that it's so damn loud in my house. If my parents are home, it's very rare that the TV's off, even if they're not watching it. They cook with the volume turned up obnoxiously loud, leave the TV on at the same volume while they go to the bathroom or shower or whatever. And all I can hear

Oh gods, my dad does the same thing with the TV. I've been able to hear the TV in the parents' room across the HOUSE at times. D:

Does he also yell at you if you turn up your music loud enough that he can maybe kind of hear it? Because mine does, and ughhh.

No, but that's probably because I like headphones for loud music. It's easier to drown myself lyrically that way.

Ah, I see. I dislike headphones, myself. They make the rest of the world easier to block out, but it feels wrong to listen to music with my ears feeling like they're blocked off. =/
