It looks like I'll be flying to New Zealand on the 27th of November, to arrive at 05:15 local time. This is still not 100% certain because my bank screwed up so I couldn't pay for the tickets; it should be set in stone on Monday morning.

If all works out I'll be leaving New Zealand on the 16th of December at the astoundingly civilized time of 14:

Ah the wonders of Dr Who air. I do enjoy arriving somewhere 8 days before I left (or was this some strange joke about New Zealand being behind the times?).

Alas, this particular flying Tardis is broken and can only arrive at some other physically distinct space-time point that is, on the time axis, in the future relative to your current co-ordinates.

If the theory of general relativity is correct as appears to be the case, the device may also gain you a few millionths of a second relative to non-travellers. This is not too impressive, and probably won't gain you much acclaim in crazy inventor circles.
