Yes! Oliver Stone cast Taylor Kitsch on the strength of a clip from John Carter. He didn't audition at all and his character will have a lot of tattoos. That's all I've got.

Part of my discomfiture with the movie is that it looks way more Butch and Sundance than Die Hard. Like, I'd be stunned if it ends "right" -- threesome on a beach somewhere sipping cocktails out of coconut husks. But I'm being lured in anyway, which is... not like me.
