Happy New Year!

Jan 03, 2009 18:06

We're home from sunny beautiful Florida!!

The one and only story I wrote for my first ever Yuletide was You Can't Put A Price On Tim Riggins, a short (3,000 words) story about a chance meeting between Tim and Matt's grandma, Lorraine Saracen, written for hardlygolden.

I'll be back later with details about our wonderful four days at the House of Mouse!

First of all, THANK GOODNESS YOU'RE BACK.

Second, I'm so glad the story is public now. I just love it. You totally nailed the voices of the characters.

Aw, that was lovely, Bone! I think my favorite line was "What would Coach do?"

And He told the story like he'd been saving it up for her, and maybe he had. Tim didn't think anybody had ever looked at him the way Lorraine looked at Matt, like she had her whole world standing right there covered in grease and chocolate, and she'd never need anything. more

You really captured her perfectly.

Looking forward to hearing about the mouse.

I LOVED that one, but I couldn't think of anyone who could write Mrs. Saracen that well. So I figured it was a newb! Oh my! I'm really shocked and pleased!
