"My whole apartment!" Anakin was telling the bartender. "All of it! Can you believe it?" he took a long swig of his poisonous-looking green drink. "The sofa in flames. Where do I sleep now? On the floor, that's where."
Tycho's gaze fell on the young man sitting a few feet away from him, conversing with the bartender. The attractive young man. Tycho's eyebrows knitted. He didn't think he'd ever seen him before ... of course, he wasn't thinking all that well by now. That was the whole point of the exercise, after all. Tycho shrugged, and gave up trying to think about it.
After a few false starts, he managed to scoot his bar stool over towards the other man. "This place ... this place is crazy, innt it. Seems like ... sumthing blows up ... ever'yother day. It's enough to drive you insane." Tycho punctuated this statement with another swig. If he was only slurring slightly, he clearly wasn't drunk enough yet.
The bartender saw a chance for escape and lunged for it. Anakin scowled at his retreating form before returning his attention to the Rebel...which one was it? Force, he couldn't keep them straight.
"It is as though we are living in a war zone, instead of merely being trapped by another planet's military," Anakin agreed. "I could go for a very long time without waking up to an explosion."
He sighed. "Yanno, I know this place is getting to me, when I begin to think the kids are right, and the only thing to do here 'sides fighting is to drink and have sex. But Force sometimes I feel like I'm back at the academy and everyone is having sex but me..."
It took Tycho a minute to realize what he had just admitted, but when he did, it resulted in him draining his glass, and pouring another.
