Oh, that's great. 'Better future for all of us', that's fantastic.

PRIVATE TO LEOBEN

Adama's got an army now. How long do you think it'll take him to use it against us? We gotta move soon. Get over here.

I and the rest of the Jedi decline your offer, Brigadier. We are not soldiers.

[PRIVATE TO JEDIS]
I assume the other Jedi all agree with me regarding this matter.

It's not a strictly military unit. We're peacekeepers and defenders first, something you "Jedi" pride yourselves on being.

Besides, even if you do not join UNIT, I'm sure we could work together.

I am certain we can collaborate.

But the Jedi do not answer to any military personnel, especially not now that there are padawans to be looked after.

We were hoping to use one of you as a negotiation expert. I believe Masters Katarn and Jinn currently have no... Padawans?

[PRIVATE TO THE BRIGADIER]

From what I've been hearing, we already have our first threat to deal with. Dr. Lecter shows every sign of wanting to continue his murder spree here.

[PRIVATE TO ADAMA]

I agree. Something will have to be done.

Spree? Hardly. There is a difference between random killing and responding to . . . rudeness.

I have a great deal of experience at lawgiving both as a Jedi and... afterwards. Of course, I would have to insist on a certain amount of prestige, befitting my position.

Somehow... I don't think we'll be able to use you, Lord Tyrannus.

Oh, so it's political discrimination, is it? Does UNIT not accept those who hold to nonstandard philosophies?

When the philosophy in question involves the use of force and anger to dominate sentient life, yes.

I've done my research, Dooku. Don't think you can weasel your way in here.

No better future. Pointless to try. Naive foolishness will only hasten the inevitable.

If you want me, I'll be here. In the real world.

Finally, someone almost realistic.

If you never try, you never get anywhere. At least if you try and fail you get the satisfaction of doing something.

No I don't. I just get the pain of failure, mixed in with all the other pains. Like a stew of misery, that I am always drowning in.
