Samantha was in minutes later, Patamon on her head with his wings spread. She ran over to Dooku, hugging him and squealing.
"Hi Mister Dooku! I can't wait to learn to play chess! Is it like checkers?!" She jumped up on the seat across from him, looking at the pieces with a grin.
"Ah..." Dooku may have been hugged by a squealing child at some previous point in his life- it was a possibility- but that didn't change his surprise.
"It- it is in fact similar to checkers, yes," he managed to get out. "A game of strategy between two players. Oh, what a fascinating creature you have!" He peered at Patamon. "I've never seen anything like it."
Dooku frowned as he examined the Digimon, prodding and poking its body. "Hmmm. Well, hello there little Digimon." He handed him back to Sam. "What an interesting creature you have, Miss Go."
Kyle arrived at the lounge after some exercise in the Holodeck. He was starting to like that thing. Sure he was going to play chess with a Sith Lord but he had to admit to himself he was curious. Not everyday you met one that didn't try to immediately kill you or turn you to the dark side. If he could at least talk to him maybe he could understand. Seeing that Dooku already had company he nodded politely before greeting him. "Hello, I hope I am not interrupting a game?"
"Ah, Master Katarn, excellent," Dooku said. "I was just about to teach little Samantha the basics of play. Perhaps you would like to help me demonstrate?" He motioned at the pieces, smiling. "I presume I will take black, of course."
Dooku didn't consider long before playing Knight to Queen Bishop 3. Decisiveness and aggression- keys to the Dark Side. "Tell me, Katarn," he said. "How is my Padawan faring in this place? I regret that I have spoken to him little since learning of his new life here."
Anakin was lurking. He earned some very strange looks from people going past, but paid them no attention.
Samantha was sitting in Dooku's lap.
Katarn was there as well, though if Anakin was perfectly honest with himself he would admit that the Jedi from Luke's time was probably an alright influence on his adopted daughter.
He walked past the door at increasingly frequent interviews, peering in and occasionally trying to force Guru to go in and spy for him.

"He's my Digimon partner!" She gently takes Patamon off of her head, and trustingly hands him to Dooku. Patamon is shy, and his voice is a whisper.
"H-hello."
