When she'd heard the news, Chika hadn't hesitated in bawling her eyes out.

Piyomon had let her cry, comforting the girl as best as he could, even though he knew that she probably didn't want to be comforted. At the time, she'd just wanted to cry

Ikuto was screaming.

It burned, everything burned..

And then nothing.

The next thing he knew, Falcomon was shaking him, trying to wake him up.

"Ikuto! Ikuto!"

He was still screaming.

Piyomon stopped, suddenly.

Chika stopped next to him, blinking a few times and looking to him quietly. Piyomon could see the question in her eyes.

"I heard something. Someone's screaming ..." It sounds familiar ...

Piyomon pulled Chika gently in the direction he heard the screaming. Chika didn't want to go, but she wasn't going to leave Piyomon do do things alone.

Still in shock from the pain of his death, Ikuto was shaking. Falcomon was yelling, trying to get him to respond, but all Ikuto could feel was the burning of the plasma as it destroyed his body.

"RAVEMON! RAVEMON!"

"Ikuto, I'm here.."

Piyomon finally tugged Chika in front of Ikuto and Falcomon. The girl saw the boy and gasped, tears filling her eyes again as she watched him for several moments.

"I-Ikuto-kun ..." She said softly, then let go of Piyomon's talon, rushing to his side and reaching out a hand to touch his arm. Was he real? He was. He was real. Ikuto was alive. He lived.

... thank goodness.

But why was he screaming? He sounded in pain ... but he seemed perfectly fine.

Chika managed to put a hand on his arm.

"Ikuto-kun!" She yelled, trying to carry her voice over his screaming. "Ikuto-kun!" She screamed, tears running down her cheeks.

Piyomon rushed next to Falcomon.

"Why is he screaming?!"
