This is fantastic! I love the Richard POV, I love this take on That Throne-Sitting Thing and Richard's general sense of Leave-Me-The-Hell-Alone. And how that's really about the fear of intimacy because he's lost Anne and because he knows he can never really have it with basically anybody else. And the fact that Edward is actually kind of scary here.

And also it is hot. I thought I should mention that.

This is really sexy and in character and I love the dialogue:

This is incredibly hot, and just delicious, and yay! I'm sorry my comment is so very late - I was really worried about giving away which fic I'd written if I commented on all the RII pieces immediately. But I did read this (and loved it) on the first day, and have just had my Second Look, and...eeee. :D

I really adored the heavy gold collar, and the impression of a plaster saint! And, eeep, bruises, and strong!Aumerle being so awesome and kind of fierce. They are an utterly wonderful pairing and you write them so exquisitely. <3

I adore this pairing, and I think Gil summed it up best -- where submission is affirmation.. Ah, the lovely languorous relinquishment of anger....
