YOU HAVE TOTALLY REDUCED ME TO CAPSLOCK INCOHERENCE. THAT IS HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS FIC.
But I will try to be coherent.
The universe. My GOD, the universe! I love the Baconians and the Dominicans and Franciscans -- and of course they would fight over nomenclature! Conrad and his insistence that he is a scientist and not a wizard. All the wonderful, rich touches that bring this world to life--
I am COMPLETELY staggered.
This reads like the most fantastic speculative fiction, with just enough realism to feel perfectly organic to the period it refracts.
And ELEANOR! What a wonderful heroine! She's one of the few sensible people in Thomas of Woodstock, and you have done such a magnificent job of both transplating her and turning her into the perfect vessel to explore this universe ( ... )

The world-building, the characters- The fact that this is totally something Richard would plausibly do if given the option- Lovely flaky clueless Richard...
I don't think I've ever seen the minions be so despicable before it's really well done...
And the whole 'he would make a good king of France' and 'he was bookish but not shrewd, the competence of his uncles terrified him and made him feel useless' ...I live for that kind of exegesis- Congratulations
