It wasn't really all that often that Pam got a good deal of time alone with Jim. She was fine with that, of course, but it was all the more reason to take advantage of having an afternoon now, with Sam off in the Compound with some of the other kids. "Yeah, tell me about it," he agreed, pulling his shirt up over his head before sitting himself next to her. The weather couldn't have been better for this idea. He was glad they'd decided to go with it. Pam was always so patient with everything, especially with the fact she was thrown into this situation when she first came. "Especially with Samantha getting older now. I think she prefers to run wild with the kids once in a while, too."

"Yeah, and it means we don't have to run wild with her," Pam teased, though obviously fond. It may have been tiring, but there was no denying how much Sam meant to her, even if she had been kind of thrown into the middle of things when she'd first shown up. It had all definitely been worth it. "It's probably good for her, anyway, getting to spend a little time with kids around her own age."

"Oh, yeah, definitely. I'm sure it's one of those must do things in parenting books," he agreed, letting out a laugh. He gave up on those things long ago. Mostly, he just listened to the advice of Devon when it was needed. "And as much as I just love chasing her around, I think I'm going to enjoy this afternoon."

"I'm enjoying it already," Pam said, turning to look at him with a grin. He'd always been the person she most liked spending time with, far before showing up on the island, and that had only heightened as they got closer here. If anything, she felt even more strongly about him now than she ever had back in Scranton. "Definitely can't think of anything I'd rather be doing right now."
