Hi. I'm Alex, Evan's friend. I was there when you played at the coffee house Friday. I'm the one who applauded loudly to the "Helm's Deep" comment, because I'm cool like that.

Your music's great!

Thinking about your song... "The Beast from the Sea"? I think that's what it was called. Anyways, it caused me to rant to my family against the validity of Revelations- how completely absurd it is. My grandmother told me that the beast from the sea was, in fact, Satan, coming in the form of a dragon- an actual, literal, corporeal DRAGON- to destroy the world. ...Fundamentalists make me laugh.

Fundies can be fun! Or they can be infuriating.
Revelations begs the question: What is god's problem?
The Beast Out of the Sea is the Antichrist. The Beast Out of the Earth is the false prophet - the Antichrist's PR man. Revelations is interesting reading, but anyone who takes it literally is damaged.

You're added!

I read your userinfo and I have some advice about how to "figure life out:"
Life is no gestalt precept. It is events happening and nothing more. You can't figure it out because it isn't a unified thing. You just have to deal with things as the occur and learn to make logical decisions based on experience - which, by the way, must be actively sought and does not come in the mail the day you reach a certain age (as some would have you believe.)
Here's an important truism: There's nothing wrong with relying on someone else, but you must, first and foremost, be able to rely on yourself. be self-sufficient.
