1st Years - A sixty centimeter parchment on curses and spells used to protect the ancient tombs of Egypt, as well as what countercurses and other methods that can be used to break them.
2nd Years - A sixty centimeter parchment on the founding of Hogwarts and the growing dislike of the Wizarding community among society in general, including the reasons behind our Founder's decisions.
3rd Years - A seventy-five centimeter parchment on the witch hunts of the Fourteenth century and how the Flame-Freezing Charm was discovered.
4th Years - A seventy-five centimeter parchment on the European Renaissance and it's influence on the divide between Muggle and Wizarding societies.
5th Years - A seventy-five centimeter parchment on the Goblin Rebellion of the 1600's.
6th Years - A ninety centimeter parchment on the creation of the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy of 1692, including various methods used both in Britain and abroad on preventing Muggle discoveries of magic.
7th Years - A ninety centimeter parchment on the Giant Wars of the 1800's.
Personal views on Muggles must be kept out of your papers, thank you. As always, parchment measurements are minimums. If you'd like to write more, please do.

Thirty centimeters equals approximately the length of a single sheet of standard letter paper, so sixty centimeters is two pages, seventy-five is two and a half, and ninety is three.
