A few days ago, I learned, through Facebook updates from friends and family, that a man with a gun was holding hostages at a bank in my hometown, Kearney, Nebraska. Which is why it's so crucial for us, as the "new media", to tell stories of how we express our frustrations in healthy, compassionate, and creative ways, so that we seed the world with better ideas for them to pick up on and emulate.

You are from Kearney? Awesome! I went there quite often while visiting my grandparents who lived in both Lincoln and Burwell. I have fond memories of Kearney :)
