We are always sitting there watching Mystery or Masterpiece saying, hey, isn't that the guy from ...? Especially with the British stuff on PBS, there's such a lot of cross-over.

We watch a lot of imported television -- British, Canadian, Australian -- so we've gotten pretty good at spotting the folks with busy resumes when they pop up on something new. The really funny times are when you hear an actor first using one country's accent, and then another's, depending on the production. Sometimes that throws me more than the visual differences in the characters they play...

Welcome to my TV life. Poirot, Marple etc are basically guaranteed full bingo cards on Who actors.

(BTW, I vote 'realistic' for the TARDIS - my internet is being screwy, apols - and I also vote that you should be given some kind of crown or medal or pie for the sheer awesomeness of it. Cannot believe that smooth-looking perfect thing is papier-mache, seriously. :D

Bingo cards are the perfect description! And it's gotten even more interesting with the increasing number of actors doing international work. Fred and I watch a *lot* of imported television -- Canadian, Australian, UK, Scandahoovian-with-subtitles, etc. -- and it's fun spotting who's donned a new accent for a new production.

(Making that TARDIS? Like hanging out with the Doctor, only replace "running (lots of)" with "sanding (lots of)". *grin* Who would have guessed that you could make a TARDIS out of toilet paper and the contents of my paper shredder?)
