Tay is having a bad day. Her father finally got in touch with her and... well, needless to say, it didn't go well. All she wants is to hide up in her tree and be alone.

Except there's someone sitting under it. Great.

Tay scowls, lets her wings flare out, and stalks towards the girl under her tree. "Move."

Asuka looks up in a way that suggests that she is both not used to people taking that tone with her and somewhat annoyed that the culprit is... Okay, it's a girl who is probably older than she is and definitely bigger and has wings. Who has wings? Well, she's not going to comment on them. This world is weird enough and she isn't going to look like some kind of simpleton if wings are some sort of common attribute.

"Why should I?" She tilts her head to the side, giving her a rather dark look. She's fourteen, but dammit, she's a child prodigy, and was chosen out of millions of people in the world to pilot the first true Evangelion. She doesn't have to take bullshit if she doesn't want to.

Oh Asuka, how little you know about angels... These angels. Not the angels in her world, which are decidedly different.

"Because if you don't, kiddo," Tay sneers a tiny bit on the last word, "I'll kick your ass from here to next month. And yes, I can do that."

She wants her tree. Also, she's hoping the kid won't think about the fact that the rule around here is no violence on the grounds. Or that if she has to break the rule, that she can get El to not, y'know, chastise her in front of the kid. Or right away.

Asuka rises to her feet rather gracefully. She has a dancer's build and is a bit tall for her age, but is still, very much a fourteen-year-old human girl whose primarily ability comes from piloting a giant robot.

Her arrogance is astounding sometimes.

Asuka knows the rules and she doesn't really... Do the whole physical combat thing anyway, especially since her primary response to a situation is to bitchslap, rather than punch. She's a giiiirl. All this combined means that her initial response to this is just to plant her hands on her hips and attempt to look threatening. Good luck with that.

"Of course, you can, because you've got wings and somehow that makes you more evolved and not some kind of freak, right?"

The narration apologizes, Tay. Really, it does.
