OMG I love this idea. I love all the theories with it being the ganger!Doctor who died, actually. Even though Amy brought up the idea, I haven't actually considered that. I've just assumed that was the actual Doctor that died and I've been kind of hitting a wall about how that is possible without killing the series entirely. I've been going the "they change the future" thing which is a total cop out and thank God I'm not responsible for writing this series... lol
Also a Dr Who trailer came on just as I typed this. Awesome.
Sadly, with all the Doctor/Rory confusion this and last season, I'm afraid that the "best man she ever knew" that River killed is Rory, possibly while trying to protect Amy/ snd or the Doctor. I can go with any of your scenarios as to what happened in the Impossible Astronaut, but I deeply fear that Rory is toast.
