kyungsoo's greatest spark in life is cooking. really.
“What are you up to?”
Kyungsoo fumbles for the remote, bumping into the counter he’s leaning against and hurriedly switching the television from what he was watching to a football match, spinning around to look at the newcomer in his kitchen.
“Uh just...watching the cooking channel. You know, because I cook!” He grabs the nearest vegetable and knife and begins chopping to emphasize his point.
Kyungsoo nearly cuts the tip of his finger off when hands abruptly settle on his waist, a warm body pressing against his back.
“What’s got you all jumpy? Maybe it’s not the cooking channel you’re watching but something naughty~?” Joonmyun teases, resting his chin on Kyungsoo’s shoulder and leaning in to nip at the skin of his neck.
Kyungsoo shivers at the touch, fingers curling around the handle of his knife before letting it fall onto the counter, grabbing the chopping board instead.
“Hyung, this is a kitchen and I’m cooking. Please,” he mutters, turning in his hold and pushing past him to dump the vegetables into the nearby pot of boiling water.
He doesn’t have to turn around to know Joonmyun is sighing heavily behind him, arms folded sullenly at his actions. It’s something that’s been happening with increasing frequency with them; Joonmyun initiating intimate contact and Kyungsoo nervously rebuffing it and putting as much space between them as possible.
Kyungsoo remains facing the stove until Joonmyun breaks the heavy silence.
“Tell me when dinner’s ready.” Is all he hears before Joonmyun leaves the kitchen, the click of his office door just audible over Kyungsoo knocking his head against the counter.
When he’s sure Joonmyun won’t be coming back out any time soon, Kyungsoo grabs the remote to switch the tv channel. He rests his chin in his hands and doesn’t move for the next fifteen minutes as he finishes the last portion of Everyday Chef with Kim Jongin.
“No one’s ever looked as good in white pants as you do, Kim Jongin-ssi,” he mutters to the screen.
