I've taken some liberties with timelines because I felt like it. (Additional author note at the end.)

Ronon had found the bracelet at some bazaar off world. There had been a jewelry booth next to the agroplett-onna-stick booth, and the ferocity with which Ronon was devouring the agroplett-oona-stick helped him strike a good deal for the bracelet. She held it in her hand when the Earthers were discussing the latest news from their home. More of their comrades were dead but she let the names wash over her-- she'd never met the Colorado SG teams-- and remembered her own loses (Kanaan and my family her soul cried in loss

Hmm, good point on the poor writing. Sorry about that. My original implication is that she's a ghost and goes back to doing whatever it is that ghosts do, but I agree that that's rather unsatisfying. Perhaps through a comedic series of errors, the bracelet ends up with Cassandra? Or maybe it is passed around SG teams forever and Janet becomes sort of a guardian spirit? Both of those would be bulky to incorporate into a ficlet this short, so let's pretend I can edit my story to delete my final line and leave it open ended.
I'm glad you found it sweet, I was worried it was too angsty for a kissing fest!
Mostly, it's just the deletion of the last line... In theory I'd still love to do the epic fic where Janet is this guardian-ghost of the Stargate program and the long fic where she's still alive and the bracelet is some sort of telepathic link thing (and then Teyla comes to Earth sometime or Janet goes to Atlantis and, oh, it's wonderful). But in actuality, I don't have any real plot ideas, so I don't know when/if this will happen.

I'm attempting to re-write these ficlets for the current SGA_flashfic, because I think they could be better, but I'm not certain if I'll get it done in time because I haven't quite figured out the sense of the story. *ponders* So there may well be additional story involving Janet at some point, but I'm not sure when. (This is not very useful, I know. :( ) Regardless, thanks for the lovely feedback!
