Hey guys, it's monday night and I'm feeling like I should write something. So, while I try to get this John/Rodney watersports fic off the ground ( . . . don't ask) you should give me fic prompts. Song lyrics, poetry, random words, moods, images, etc. are good, along with fandom/characters/pairing. I like prompts that are specific but

You are the town and we are the clock.
We are the guardians of the gate in the rock
The Two
On your left and on your right
In the day and in the night,
We are watching you.

I dunno, maybe it's not happy, but it's certainly real. And very - bitterly satisfying, does that makes sense? Because, and don't get me wrong, I love the McKay/Sheppard trope of... I like the ones you did (except for the grim, depressing one. *flees from unhappy stories*) - especially Teyla doing concerts on Earth and John and Rodney waltzing at the ITC party. Yay for cultural exchange!

(Also, the first one made me laugh out loud so many times what with the paperwork and John's summaries of the events of the beginning of S1 and everything else and the one about Batman v. The Fantastic Four is something that I honestly expect to see in canon one of these days [except maybe without the make-up sex but YOU NEVER KNOW] and the Auden one broke my heart into 309823094 piece and the last once was MADE OF WIN because I totally have a dancing kink. Oh man. It was lovely.)
Anyway, I guess I should go to bed at one point or something.

But how about this image and the city of Atlantis. (Presumably while our guys are in it.)
Or: the story where Ronon tries really hard to be a cultural relativist, but frankly, these Earthers are kinda nuts.
Or! John Sheppard and the song "Don't Stop Me Now." Because he's having such a good time, yeah, he's having a ball.
