Sooo clearly I haven't been on LJ for a while (again) and am way behind on my flist (again), but I just scrolled down to like, May 1st or something, so I have read a few entries. Not really replied to any of them though because there was either nothing to say or it was a really personal entry and I felt weird replying to it days/weeks later. So... ( Read more... )

I love the Percy Jackson books! And yes, so many slash potential. In particular I love Percy/Luke and Percy/Nico XD; I've yet to read the Heroes of Olympus yet -- am waiting for Rick Riordan to finish up the last book in the series, and then I'll do a marathon, haha! Can't wait :D

Oh my god, you need to reeeeeead them! I thought Percy Jackson was good, but Heroes of Olympus is even better! I'm not really into Percy/Luke, but Percico is my favourite, and Jasico - but you'll get to that when you read HoO :D

Exactly. People just tend to complain whenever they change something :) Wee! There's not much on it yet; just some old drawings and reference stuff.

Being a geek for anything mythology, Percy Jacksson has had me curious for quite some time. But since I never have time to read the stuff I HAVE to read, then how should I have time to read stuff I want to read? Life as a working mom, I tell ya'....

I've been absent from LJ to for quiet a while. I did mention being new to being a working mom with a full time job, right? :-P Sounds like you keep yourself busy with fun stuff, so you keep doing that. :-)

Motivating yourself to read something can be hard at times. The thing about the Percy Jackson books (5 books) is that they're relatively simply written, pretty short, and hilarious, which makes it easy to get through them fast. Then the Heroes of Olympus series (4 books with the 5th coming out in October) are more grown up and (to me) more interesting because there is sooo much slash and femmeslash potential, and I adore the characters.

But yeah, if you're into Greek (and Roman!) mythology, definitely check them out at some point. The whole "making ancient mythology work in the modern world" aspect is so interesting :)

LOL I shall keep doing that, yes.
