one was from Before i went to bed, and the other was after. you see, "today" is constituted by where it falls in my sleep cycle.

Incidentally, yes, they do imagine that. I was friends with a creationist family in elementary school. Each inconsistency was one of two things: the devil trying to convince you god doesn't exist, or god testing your faith.

It's so frustrating. Lately I only fight back by referring to god as "Cosmic Sky Faerie." (Note the lack of article.) If you do it with a completely straight face and are otherwise serious, it works wonders.
