There's something apocalyptic about the way in which crowds depart from the metro platform, all sense of community lost as individuals squeeze between person-shaped obstacles and sigh at one another. reading this while listening to my favorite song (the boy who blocked his own shot) by my favorite band (brand new) made it extra-special. XD

And the gold medalist for climbing the métro steps slowly is...the older woman at Porte de Pantin. ;)

I like this station, it's so colorful.

I'm not much of a traveler myself, so I don't know how it goes in other big cities, but I must say the Parisian subway can be sheer madness and thus a little scary.
I'm more of a dodger when I have to, but I'm generally the girl who's going to mumble under her breath about how rude hurried people are, pushing past you like you're not even there.
That is why the lesson of the day is, take the bus. :)
