I think I read once that the moon and water are linked, and so are the sun and fire.

You know anything about them being sister and brother or something, though?

If I remember, I'll be sure to tell you.

Fenrir, also known as Fenrisúlfr and Hróðvitnir is a monstrous wolf, mentioned, amongst other places, in three stanzas of the poem Völuspá, and in two stanzas of the poem Vafþrúðnismál. In stanza 40 of the poem Völuspá, a völva divulges to Odin that, in the east, an old woman sat in the forest Járnviðr, "and bred there the broods of Fenrir.
As for the brother and sister... I believe that refers to Skoll and Manegarm. Skoll chases the horses Árvakr and Alsviðr, that drag the chariot which contains the sun through the sky every day, trying to eat her. Sköll has a brother, Hati, who chases the moon. At Ragnarök, both Sköll and Hati Hróðitnisson will succeed in their quests. If I'm not mistaken, they are the children of Fenrir.
Does that sound correct, Evelyn?

It sounds mostly like a balance issue. That is a rather large part of the religion back home...although I seriously doubt it has anything to do with anything I would understand. Damn specists.
