[Crowe's there for dinner when he spots Kay scarfing down dessert alone. Isolating herself in the back is pretty unusual, so he'll approach, looking curious.]

Ah, hi Kay.

[Kay sort of frowns when she sees Crowe approaching, but that doesn't stop her from eating another bite of ice cream.]

Oh... hey, Crowe.

[Yeah, lookin' pretty sad over here.]

[The frown does cause him to stop. He gives her a concerned look.]

A-Ah, don't let me bother you then, yeah? Just surprised to see you back here all by yourself.

[Kay blinks a little, and then shakes her head and puts on a smile.]

Ah... it's okay. Don't worry about it!

Neutron Diner

[Edward'll be treating himself to some fast food for a change, though Kay's hefty meal in the corner doesn't escape his notice. He'll approach the table after some time.]

No! I'm just... really hungry today.

[Kay grumbles and shoves another bite of sundae into her mouth.]

There's no way someone with your body mass could have an appetite like that.

Oh yeah? Watch me!

[And she defiantly grabs the milkshake and begins sipping at it, making obnoxiously loud sounds with the straw.]

Baseball

[A ball thumps nearby. Lucas has no reason to be on school grounds, but he's there anyway. Probably he needs remedial mathematics. He'll stare at it for a bit, pick it up, and glance in the direction of the baseball field.

And put up a shield just before another ball thumps through him. Sometime later after picking himself off the ground...]

School's out for the summer...

[Under normal circumstances, Kay would have noticed this and run over to check on Lucas. As it is, she's far too wrapped up in her own grief to know he's even there until he approaches her.]

[Swinging at another ball and missing spectacularly before hurling the bat out into the field!]

[Something was quite clearly wrong. He'll watch this display in silence.]

It would probably be easier to practice if you had someone to play with.

[Kay's shoulders droop as tears start welling up at the sides of her eyes. She laughs a little as she wipes at them.]

Haha... looks like I got some dust in my eye.

[He knew this was going to happen. With his hands in his pockets and a cigarette hanging off of his lip, Gokudera approached the baseball field, hearing Kay's cry every time she swung. Goddamn it was irritating. He hadn't been alone in Mayfield for nearly two years, either the Tenth or Yamamoto were always there.

But part of him knew that someone else was going to feel it too, which is why he was here.]

[After a while, he'll clear his throat.]

Kay.

[Kay stops when she hears Gokudera's voice, sending one last ball sailing off into the distance and then dropping the bat. Her hand clenches as her head sags, and there's the sound of light crying.]

G-Gokudera...

[No sooner does Kay turn to look at him than she's running toward him, sobbing her eyes out and wrapping him up in a big tight hug. There is now a girl crying into your shoulder, Gokudera. What do.]

[He almost wanted to shrug her off, because for the most part, this was annoying. It wasn't that he didn't understand why she was crying, but it was still a little inconvenient.

Still, he doesn't move his arm or anything.]

...che. He wouldn't want you to cry like this. You know that, right?

I know, but I can't help it... I mean, we both knew this would happen someday, but I couldn't help really believing that some day we'd figure out a way to leave here together.
