Case 48: Turnabout Investigation

[For about the past week or so, Kay Faraday has been one busy little thief-in-training.  Every morning, she's up at 5 AM and out of the house, dressed in her black ninja costume she wears around Japan's cosplay cafe while she's working.  She hides behind the bushes out in front of 505 Ricardo, waiting for the milkman to show up and make his rounds

Sssssssshhh!

[The noise comes from behind the bush as Kay pops her head up, finger in front of her mouth.]

You'll blow my cover!

[Whispering!]

I'm tailing the milkman.

[seriousbigtime]

[And as Peter's up early that morning as well, once Kay makes her way to 947 Beulah Street, he feels that familiar tingle in the back of his head.

He pokes his head outside hesitantly, trying to see if there's any trouble.]

[And since she's crouched behind the bushes in front of the house, Peter can plainly see her even though anyone approaching from the sidewalk can't. She hasn't noticed him yet, as she's busily peering out toward the street.]

[He manages to spot Kay hiding in the bushes. But it looks like she hasn't seen him. So he'll just whisper to her:]

What are you doing?

[Whispering back, pointing down the sidewalk.]

Following the milkman.

[Perhaps as Kay hides, she'll notice the blonde boy cheerfully tossing papers at houses as he rides down the street on his table. Lucas is always one to keep his word.]

[Kay glances back every so often to flash a thumbs up.]

( Coming outside to take some trash out and spotting someone familiar in the bushes, she doesn't say anything and instead simply stares at the scene as if trying to make herself understand. )

[Kay turns around, presses a finger to her lips, and motions for Elizabeth to crouch down next to her.]

[generose]

( She'll blink, but nod quietly and follow the silent instructions and crouch down beside the other girl. Staring quietly and trying to locate whatever Kay might be watching or looking out for. )

[She just points down the street a little bit to where the milkman currently is. Then to her eyes, and then back to the milkman.]

[The Milkman does his rounds as always, seemingly oblivious to Kay's following him.

He whistles a cheery tune.]
