Meghan and I went hiking TWO WEEKENDS IN A ROW because we are AWESOME. Honestly, maintaining any sort of exercise routine is a big deal for me ( Read more... )

The other alternative to that Oscar thing is that it's up against movies that aren't so good. I don't know. I'm way behind in movie-watching. In fact, I just saw Night At The Museum today. First movie since The Prestige in, what, November?

I still haven't seen either of those movies, so I think we're tied. You'd THINK I'd have seen "The Prestige" by now, seeing as how Nikola Tesla is my Dead Historical Boyfriend, but no.

TRIVIA: Tesla attended Charles University in Prague. I don't know why anyone needs to know that.

I'm curious, how did you find out about the coyotes (and we're talking about the animals right)? I suppose better safe than sorry.

But yeah, nice job on the exercise. It is to be commended, and the fact that it's potentially death-defying exercise makes it all the more impressive.

A hiker coming down the trail with her dog warned us that they'd been spotted.

I usually don't like other hikers trying to communicate with me on the trail, but for this I make an exception.

By "creepy" do you mean "awesome"? That's sort of weird that the cats got rid of the foxes, though. They must have been breeding like crazy.

Word on Clive Owen.

major lol at the TRL rejects.

Shit, I remember the first time I tried to read BNW. I was in sixth grade and just hated it - the style of writing, the idea, the coldness, everything. I tried again in tenth grade and found it much less repulsive. Not one of my favorites ever...but entertaining considering the precedent it set, at least.

Clive Owen is ehhhh. His voice, it grates.

Post for truth: I read the other two books multiple times, but I think I only read BNW once.

If it helps any, he does not speak much in the film.

Once is plenty for anyone.

That might help. I had a couple friends who came home from an early screening singing praises of the film, and I STILL haven't gone to see the thing.

ALSO, I totally heard coyotes walking home from my car last night. It was kinda trippy, since I live so close to not only papago mtn but a crazy golf trail of doom. Maybe they got some wild puppy snack. Mmmm golfer bits.
