Fuck you with poisonous toads, English class. With poisonous toadsAt work, I am becoming worried that I'm still with the company only because the boss and the owners like ME, and not because it's what's best for the company. And then what happens when I become less endearing ( Read more... )

Honestly, I think (to me anyways) english classes are lame and kinda a waste of time. Unless its something that you're interested in. But if its just required credits then they suck in the most horrid ways.

You must use the power of spam. USE IT. For some evil purpose but USE IT.

If your work is firing people then I'd be worried but otherwise it should be all good.

The first question that comes to mind? "Are you doing something in particular to be less endearing?"

...

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO THE COMPANY DONUTS?

Seriously, though, couldn't this just be a case of borrowing trouble because you ran out? Do you have evidence that your worries are valid? Have you heard something, or have others treated you differently somehow?

Remember how you got this position in the first place; you rocked so hard that they demanded you stay around, right? I seriously doubt that anything that major has changed in just the last several months!

If I had really run out of trouble, I would be... translating something right now I think. Ain't nothing like a trouble-free environment for translating ( ... )

Just out of curiosity...

...come to think of it, why do people begin sentences like that? I mean, if I weren't curious, why the hell would I be inquiring in the first place?

...but anyway, have you ever given any thought to delving more deeply into translation (and perhaps Eastern Culture) in a professional sense? Even if it weren't your primary career focus, I'd bet that there are a ton of people who'd love to have things translated to and from Japanese or Spanish! It could be a nice side-income to translate sections of manga or something, AND it's something you love anyway....

BTW, thank you for explaining. I don't take things at face value with you because there is always (well, usually) some deeper meaning, hidden like a delicious Tootsie Roll center covered by a gem-like candy coating ( ... )

Ah, general credits suck. It would be nice if they didn't have to be so damn obvious that they are trying to weed you out, I mean educate you on the fundamentals of a well-rounded education.

(begin self-help book advice) As for your job... it could be that they're misunderstanding your intentions, and all you need to do is communicate. An explanation or negotiation could clarify things and help you meet each others' mutual needs to reach a win-win compromise situation. (end self-help book advice) You should consider having "the talk" with your boss if you're prepared. "You see, when a company and an employee love each other very much..."

...and send those mass e-mails with reckless abandon. There's no escaping it, and if it's not you it's someone else doing it. Assholes. I'll shut up now.
