It may not come as any great surprise, but I have a recurring dream about being involuntarily placed in a psych ward. I wouldn't call it a nightmare per se, but it does leave me feeling decidedly uncomfortable

Well, I've always figured it was "symbolic" of losing my mind, based on the long family and personal history of mental problems.
Of course, some also say that dreams are just the brain's way of working out its kinks, "So remember, the next time you dream that you're trapped in a darkened theater filled with one-eyed badgers, that's just your brain going 'testing, testing one two'."

PERHAPS it means that you are my twin, channeling my amusement at headshrinker-intake practices.
Psychiatric help is always an exercise in "interesting," however you slice it. *blinkblink* It's kinda the nature of the beast.
It does sound uncomfortable... but I'm glad it isn't a full-out nightmare.
