Oh, this was lovely. No one writes nearly enough outsider POV of the boys - it's like my favorite thing in the world - and I really, really enjoyed this. That simple but enormous difference between "all my love" and "I love you" - a perfect image that speaks volumes. I love that Nathan carried that scrap of paper by his heart...and who knows what letters with more telling things might have almost blown away that day and found themselves in Heidi's pocket? ;)

Wonderful job with this. In a way, I almost pity Heidi. Nathan could never love anyone like he does Peter. But then I don't like her, for however unwittingly, filling that place in Nathan's life that Peter can never quite fill either..

Well, not anymore, anyway.

I agree; there needs to be more outsiders' POVs on these two. Maybe we can convince the mods to make it a prompt?

In a way, I think Heidi, in the context of this story, deserves what she gets. She read someone's mail without permission. And yeah, she'd lucky she didn't get a letter filled with pornographic thoughts.
