Judith Kerr

Sadly, Judith Kerr died a couple of days ago. She wrote The Tiger Who Came for Tea and the Mog series - all books I read to my children when they were little. So while sad to hear of her passing, it did also bring back many fond memories of the happiness from reading those stories

We read Als Hitler das rosa Kaninchen stahl in school, but the only thing I remember is learning my first French word from tha book - crayon.

It's odd, given that it's one of her more famous books, that I've never actually read When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit. Funny isn't it what sticks in our minds - for me with German, that I only studied for one year at school, it's always been the phrase "Das ist die erste Strasse links". I've no idea why!
