The Empty Loom!

This morning, I woke, at the ungodly time, of 3:23am. (I swear! It is just wrong, for this to have happened.) The thing that really ticks me off, about the whole thing. I woke up, because my sweetie-pie, is just PLAIN EVIL ( Read more... )

Maybe your sweetie was on autopilot and not really thinking much about it. Last night I twice turned on a light thinking I was turning it off because I was on autopilot.

Yay for being done with one leg warmer! Boo for bees!

Today I went for a thirty minute walk around a building on campus after lunch and had two very large bees accost me during it. Gah! Thankfully, they were gone when I came around the next time.

I'm very glad that light doesn't wake up any of my Loves. That means I can sit at the computer and knit or play games when I can't sleep and it doesn't disturb them. I can still be close to them. :)

Sometimes our sleep gets interrupted. As someone who works graveyard shift I understand this implicitly. I do get it. I also get HUGELY pissed off if it happens to me because not only is sleep vital for my continued mental health, as its lack makes me prone to submitting to my hurtful feelings and crying all the damned time, but it is also hurtful to others because then I tend to sharpen my tongue on their foolish hides. especially right now. God bless my double helix codes with their nice XX chromosomes -_- Even though I logically know the problem I am often unable to hold back snarkiness or depression waves unless I have enough sleep. I had enough because today is my day off. YAY now I get to spend yet another week with little to no sleep thanks to my loud and unruly neighbors upstairs. -_- Its good the bee did not get you and happy looming my friend!

Glad the last two inches are done and that you are ready to start on the next leg warmer.

Sorry for the bee attack but at least it didn't sting.

Your terrarium sounds awesome. Good luck with it.

Hugs and happy stitching,

Kae

Thank you so much for the birthday VG! You are so kind and generous! :-D

Cool idea to make terrariums (terraria?)! Has she left anything else useful behind?

Maybe you were getting more rushed as you saw the end approaching? I always seem to make mistakes and drop things (stitches or non-knitting stuff) if I'm in a hurry. Was the bind-off was a nice loose one to match the cast-on? I find binding off in rib makes for a good stretchy one but I'm not sure if your crochet one was in pattern. I am ignorant about looming.

I quite like working in yarns that aren't to my taste just for the variety. I made a Moebius neck warmer and matching mitts for a friend in a dark charcoal with lighter flecks and it looked very smart. I'd never use it for myself but she loved it as it was just her style and it really was a beautiful yarn.
