Yesterday, after writing my post, I went outside for my laps, around the yard. A total of 4 laps were walked, and no falling occurred ( Read more... )

Sometimes life does get in the way of our yarn...sorry you didn't get much quality time in. I started laughing (not at you) when you described what your uncle does with his teeth. I have this weird (okay, it's normal to me but everyone else thinks it's weird) pet peeve of the sound of people eating - and other mouth related sounds, like teeth sucking LOL! When we were growing up, my sister used to piss me off all the time by making gross (to me) noises while eating just to irritate me. So, I know how you feel! LOL

Good luck getting in yarn time today - and if life gets in the way, don't worry...the yarn will understand!

Yeah...well I have to loom today. Hehe.
My uncle knows I think it is gross. I think he does it, JUST TO PISS ME OFF! He is the type of person, to do stuff like that.

You cannot control the things people do and say that upset you. You can control the way you react to it. If it was your uncle's intention to annoy you, you gave him all sorts of pleasure and power with the way you reacted to what he was doing.

And yeah, sometimes life does get in the way of yarning. But it's life and it should. Yarn can be a large part but should not be your entire world. You do need to get out and have non-yarn related conversations with others, go to parties, etc. It's healthy for you.

As to the Uncle thing. I know you are right. I should have just walked away, without a word, or without the actions I took. But, it was just too much. Looking back, I see what I SHOULD have done. But, in the moment...I was LIVID!
Thank you, for reminding me that life isn't ALL about yarn.=)

Yes, it certainly it does suck. I need at least a few minutes of yarn time daily.
Thank you for your compliments on my background. I like it quite a bit.

Sorry about your loss of yarn time - I know I miss it when I don't get time to work a little each day.

I have found that I hate going to bed mad even worse that loosing yarn time - seems like my whole next day is out of whack when I am angry when I go to sleep - if I can even go to sleep.

Just wanted to let you know that I completed my first baby hat on the blue loom yesterday - and then taught one granddaughter to to the twisted stockinette stitch on the loom and she is making a hat on the red loom and loving it.

Today (Monday) I will have both granddaughters for a couple of hours - bought them a loom set - and hope to have both of them making hats by the time they leave.

Hugs, happy looming Monday,

Kae

Wow! You are the Loom Queen. You are picking it up, very quickly. That is awesome. I am glad that you are having fun with it.
