I think your post duplicated itself. *giggle*

Another way to deal with needing yarn ... and adding to your stash, is to check out Freecycle.org and see if they have a group in your area. Sometimes you can catch somebody giving away yarn or knitting stuffs. :)

Yeah, I caught that repeat thing, and took care of it. Hehe. Thanks for the advice.

Glad the project is getting easier - and that is probably because you are more used to manipulating yarn.

Have fun at the LYS - hopefully you can find some good buys.

Hugs and happy looming,

kae

It is getting easier. This is true. But, I hope it gets easier still, with each passing day. That would be nice.

Have fun at your new (to you) LYS!

Exactly what yarns are called for in the upcoming projects? If you list them, we may be able to help you find cheaper (but nice) alternatives. And while I admit to being a yarn snob (I don't particularly care for acrylic), I do not have a money tree. This makes it difficult, but not impossible, as now I keep my eye out for sales and buy alot of yarn from Knitpicks and other online retailers that have good deals (you just have to find them). Also, I have fallen in love with dyeing my own yarn and found a supplier of undyed yarn that is reasonable (although I have to buy a kilo at a time), so my socks no longer cost $25 for a pair - now they are less than $10.

Well now...under 10 isn't bad. Hehe. The LYS was a blast. Such a nice group of people. (Expect good things, in tomorrow's entry. Hehe.)I will have to do as you suggested here.

Have fun at the LYS!

I second the idea of checking out knitpicks.com They have some cheap, but still decent yarn, no acrylics there. The important thing is to make sure that you get the same weight (DK, worsted, bulky, etc.) as the pattern asks for. =)

Yes...that is important. It would be a complete DISASTER to buy a different weight. I would cry!
Thanks, for the tip!!! =)

I, three, will vote for knitpicks yarns. Joann's also does have some wool that will work. There's always Craigslist as well.
