Final Day To Do Afghan Stitch, and Felting

Jun 24, 2010 12:08

This morning, while having my coffee, I pulled out the elongated washcloth I am making, using the afghan stitch. I decided, as I took my first sip, that today would be THE DAY that I finish this project. I am almost finished as I write this, and I know I can easily complete it today. I am, as I trudge along, liking this stitch more and more. Sure, ( Read more... )

Michael,

I have at least two skeins of Simply Soft in Bone left over from a project last year. They've been stored in a rubbermaid bin and guarded ably by the imperious Lord Mogwollen. Non smoking house, but I do (obviously) have a cat. If you're interested, drop me a note, and tell me where to ship them.

I was thinkig, (this is what I do when I can't sleep, think about wool/knitting and what I'm doing to do next.) Have you thought about a BIG project after the two years is over. Something I'm doing, is every time I want to learn something knew (lace, cables, etc) I make a square out of one of two colors that my SO picked out. Once I make enough squares I can sew them all together for a blanket, It's a keepsake on where you started and where you've gone. Dependeing on how big your finished swatches are that might be an idea.

I actually did have a BIG project in store. Something that I will not let on about, until the project is over. It is going to be a SURPRISE for all my readers. It will be WILD.
As for your idea...I like it. It was not anything I had thought of, but I will be thinking about it now. I will keep all my swatches, and see what I can do with them. Thank you for this idea.

Really? You think so? I don't know. GOD knows, I would love it. For so many reasons, actually. I mean, being unemployed sucks. I mean, I can get the yarn, no biggie. But, who doesn't like gifts? Then, it would give me this sense, you know. Like people are out there, reading my blog. And, not JUST reading, but WANTING to see me complete The Yarn Project successfully. Knowing I have that kind of support...well, it would be AMAZING ( ... )
