Thank GOD!
I am home, once again! Home, with my messy collection, of various yarns. Home...Where I can balance my day, spending equal amounts of time walking around, and parking my ass, on MY couch, where the light shines in the window, in that JUST-RIGHT-WAY Home...Where I know I won't be reprimanded, for spreading my sampler afghan-in-progress out ( Read more... )

A gold star for Auntie kae1crafts September 13 2010, 18:29:57 UTC
Michael,

You need to award your Aunt a gold star for volunteering yarn without criticism. You are gradually winning them over. Mark a great big happy face on your calendar for this event.

As to crocheting while the tub is filling - or the coffee perking or the soup it heating or - or - or .... That just shows you are a stitcher and know how to use those previously wasted moments productively now.

Hugs and happy stitching.

Kae

Yeah, I just hope it isn't a passing type of support. I am not counting my skeins yet, with her. Maybe she is turning, though. Who knows.
I like your way of thinking. Yarn in the bathroom isn't weird. It is a useful filler of time. Nice.

I almost sang for joy as I read your post! I could have cried!! That is so completely awesome! I love your Aunt...I could give her a hug! I am so glad that she showed you support and donated to the cause and THEN told you to get back to work!! What was that!?! (besides completely cool!)

I'm just so excited for you...I can't even talk...

It was cool...way odd, but cool, nonetheless. I was very happy over it.

I am also quite glad to hear of the way she acted! Surprised yes, and I hope this isn't one of those rare 'nice things' before she lets loose some mean things to say. But maybe I'm just being pessimistic. I hope that this is merely the first step of her growing acceptance of how much this project means to you! =D

As for wanting to yarn while tub filling up, I don't think that's odd at all! I was wondering if me considering yarning while at a drive thru was odd, but now I think not >3

I am starting to see the addiction here, as this whole work weekend, all I could think of was my yarn and needle waiting like 3 feet from my bed for my off days for me *hugs it*

I personally think that any empty time should be spent, working with yarn. And yes....yarn can easily become an addiction.
