Project 2- Check!

Last night,  I wrote of the HELL bestowed upon me, by the EVIL granny octagon. I will not rehash the whole thing...that would be pointless, really.
But, I will say this...
This particular granny was the icing, on what had already been an absolutely TERRIBLE day.
I left home, with my foot already hurting me. When we got to our first stop (Costco), I ( Read more... )

Michael,

The 'honking granny' had better be careful - karma can really come back and bite you! She is getting to be of the age where broken bones and walkers often enter a person's life.

As to your embarrassment - remember it wasn't long ago that you couldn't walk - AT ALL!!! Hugs to you for getting up and continuing with your day. May each day bring you strength and speed until you can toss that walker into the corner and be on your merry way.

As to yarn therapy - IT WORKS!! as you just found out.

Hope you have a wonderful vacation, enjoy the fair, stay as cool as possible and happy stitching.

Kae

thanky you so much for this reminder. It is true, I know. But still...being slow and falling are rarely fun things. I hope you have an awesome day.

I know that being slow and falling sucks! My mom used a walker for 8 years and I took her to appointments and outings. She moved even slower than a snail so I've witnessed the honking and rude behavior at times - but I've also witnessed the kindness of those who held the door for us and waited patiently as she crossed the street. I tried to ignore those who were jerks and held the kindnesses close and cherished them.

I've been working on my first crocheted hat and using suede yarn - I will NEVER buy any but this was a gift and I agreed to make something for one of our charities so I'm working it up. It makes your grannie square look tame for sheer perversity in refusing to work smoothly! I finally found one hook that it doesn't hate too much - the yarn just dislikes this hook - doesn't HATE it! My hands are getting tired so I'm going to switch back to something easier and knit for a while.

Hugs and Happy Stitching.

Good luck, with showing the yarn, and your disfuntional hook, who the real boss is. And yes...there are those many, many kind people. People hold doors for me all the time. But, the bad people always manage to seem easier to see.
