The Great Tumble

Jul 31, 2011 09:03

Well, the time has come. But, it was not exactly a surprise to me. To be honest, I am kind of thrilled that it was postponed, for so long. But, in the back of my mind, I knew that it would happen again...Sooner or later. After all, my last surgeon warned me: "You are going to fall down quite a bit, during your recovery. That is only to be expected ( Read more... )

Aww, sorry about the fall. If it's any consolation, I trip more when I'm tired or when my legs are tired so that might have been a contributing factor. I hope you got the sock done and had a better day today.

I was definitely tired, so that may have been the cause for me, as well. Here is to hoping that I go without falling, for a great long while.

Hey, don't worry about falling. It happens to everyone at some point. I broke my arm falling up some stairs and my leg falling down some different ones (years apart) so you're already doing better than me!

Will a long, hot bath help with the leg tightness?

Sorry about the fall. Even more sorry that you had to throw a hissy for people to get the message. I'm glad you weren't seriously hurt when you fell - I have a history of dislocating my elbow when I fall. Like someone said above, the more tired I am, the more likely I am to fall, so I'm betting that was a major contributing factor. While I hope any future falls are rare, you may want to start paying attention to how tired you are when they happen. If there's a pattern, you can tell your family that you don't want to invite a fall when you're really tired.

Thank you. It was definitely a horrible thing. While I did not get too hurt from it, it was upsetting, because I have gone SO LONG without falling.
